Your forearms protect your elbows… most people just don’t train them 👀 If you’re dealing with elbow pain, tightness, or that annoying ache with gripping, lifting, or even opening a jar… your forearms might be the missing piece. This move: elbow straight towel wring-outs (pronation + supination) targets the muscles that control rotation of your forearm. These muscles attach around your elbow, so when they’re weak or overworked, your elbow takes the hit. Why this matters: Your forearms help with gripping, carrying, typing, opening doors, playing pickleball… basically anything with your hands. Strong, well-conditioned forearms = less strain on the elbow joint and better control with daily tasks. How to do it: Hold a towel with both hands, keep your elbows straight, and slowly “wring” it out like you’re twisting water out. Rotate one hand forward (pronation) and the other back (supination), then switch. 🚨 Safety tips: Move slow and controlled, not aggressive Stay in a pain-free or low discomfort range Keep shoulders relaxed and avoid shrugging Stop if you feel sharp pain 👉🏼 Make it easier (regression): Bend your elbows slightly or reduce the tension on the towel Perform smaller rotations 👉🏼 Make it harder (progression): Pull the towel tighter to increase resistance Slow down the movement even more Perform longer holds at end range Consistency here can go a long way in keeping your elbows happy and strong 💪 ⚠️ Disclaimer: This content is for educational purposes only and not medical advice.
