*What if burnout is not simply an individual problem, but a signal that something in the system of work needs to change?* Stress, exhaustion, disengagement, and declining mental wellbeing have become increasingly visible across workplaces. Yet many organisational responses still focus primarily on helping individuals cope better with environments that may themselves be contributing to the problem. In this panel from the *Humanity Stage at the Milan Longevity Summit 2026*, *Chiara Bacilleri, Francesco Finazzi, Tiziana Mele, and Mattia Sciutti* join moderator *Carola Salvato* to explore what it means to build organisations that are resilient because their people can thrive within them. Bringing together perspectives from *mental health, technology, leadership, organisational culture, and business*, the conversation moves beyond burnout as an individual wellbeing issue to examine the conditions that shape it. How do workload, leadership, organisational culture, psychological safety, autonomy, and constant connectivity affect mental health? Can technology help organisations identify signs of distress earlier? What responsibility do leaders have for creating healthier working environments? And how do companies support performance without normalising chronic pressure? The discussion also challenges the idea that resilience simply means becoming better at enduring stress. True organisational resilience may instead depend on the ability to *recognise pressure, adapt structures and behaviours, create space for recovery, and build cultures where people can sustain performance over time*. *Participants:* • Chiara Bacilleri – Marketing, Communications & Innovation Director, Mindwork • Francesco Finazzi – Chief Executive Officer, Myndoor • Tiziana Mele – Managing Director, Lundbeck Italia • Mattia Sciutti – Leadership & Team Effectiveness Manager, Gruppo Nestlé in Italia • Moderated by Carola Salvato – Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Kea Connecta As working lives become longer, this becomes a longevity question too. Careers that may span five or six decades cannot be built around models of performance that exhaust people along the way. *The future of work requires organisations designed not simply to maximise what people can give today, but to sustain their capacity to contribute, grow, and remain well over the long term.* #MilanLongevitySummit #FutureOfWork #Burnout #MentalHealth #WorkplaceWellbeing #OrganizationalResilience #Leadership #Humanity #Longevity #FutureOfWorkplace
