Sleep 7 hours tonight.
The lie I taught in medical school: sleeping 5–6 hours is fine if you feel okay the next day. That's the myth.
Cappuccio et al. pooled prospective cohorts on sleep duration and all-cause mortality (Sleep 2010;33(5):585-592). Short sleep: RR 1.12 (95% CI 1.06–1.18). Long sleep: RR 1.30 (95% CI 1.22–1.38). ~1.38 million people; 112,566 deaths.

Honest caveat: observational meta-analysis — not an RCT proving more sleep alone saves lives. Definitions of short/long sleep varied. Self-report can misclassify. Long sleep may partly reflect illness. Individual needs differ.
Today's drop: Protect a 7–8 hour sleep window tonight. Consistent bedtime. Dim evening screens. Don't assume chronic 5–6 hours is enough because you "feel fine."
