What happens if you only eat sardines for 7 days? On the surface, this sounds like a video about omega 3, oily fish, ketosis, perhaps weight loss.... But the real lesson is much more interesting. Because if you ate only sardines for a week, some of the changes would probably feel impressive. Your weight would drop quickly, your blood sugar would become more stable, your cravings may fall, your appetite may settle, and you might feel lighter and less bloated. But.... A lot of that wouldn’t be because sardines are magic. It would be because of what disappeared from your diet. No refined carbohydrates. No added sugar. No ultra processed food. No constant glucose spikes. No snack foods designed to keep you eating. No modern food environment pulling your hunger, energy and metabolism around all day. That is the hidden message of this video. Sardines are genuinely brilliant. They are packed with EPA and DHA omega 3 fats, high quality protein, calcium, vitamin D, B12 and selenium. They support heart health, brain health and inflammation. But the bigger lesson is that when you remove the foods that are quietly damaging your metabolic health, your body can start to feel different very quickly. That does not mean I recommend eating only sardines for a week. I don’t. It is extreme, restrictive and misses out the fibre-rich plants your gut microbiome depends on. The better approach is much simpler: eat oily fish a couple of times a week, remove as much ultra processed food and refined carbohydrate as you can, and build your diet around real whole foods you can sustain for life. This is a video about what happens when you stop eating the foods that are making you tired, hungry, inflamed and metabolically unhealthy. Hope you like it!
