About this video

Creator description · original textText language: English

Aging is natural, but how we experience it depends greatly on lifestyle, diet, and mental well-being. In this talk, Dr. Poornima Devkumar from The University of Trans-Disciplinary Health Sciences and Technology (TDU), Bengaluru, explores Ayurveda’s timeless wisdom on aging gracefully. She shares how Ayurveda views Jara (aging) not merely as decline but as transformation, shaped by constitution, digestion, toxins, and mental state. Drawing from Rasayana Chikitsa (rejuvenation therapy), she highlights daily and seasonal routines, Rasayana herbs like Brahmi, Ashwagandha, and Amla, and practices like Panchakarma that restore balance and vitality. The talk also bridges tradition and science, discussing research that shows how Ayurvedic interventions can enhance cognition, reduce stress, and support healthy longevity at both clinical and molecular levels. 🔔 Subscribe and stay tuned!
