*Human iPSC-Derived Cardiac Stromal Cells and Cardiac-Derived Mesenchymal Cells for Unmet Cardiovascular Needs* Can regenerative medicine help the heart repair itself? In this session from *Regenerative Medicine: Translating Science Into Care* at the *Milan Longevity Summit 2026*, *Professor Giulio Pompilio* explores how stem-cell-derived technologies could create new therapeutic possibilities for cardiovascular diseases that remain difficult to treat. The adult heart has a limited capacity to repair itself following injury. Professor Pompilio examines the potential of human iPSC-derived cardiac stromal cells and cardiac-derived mesenchymal cells to support tissue repair and address unmet cardiovascular needs, bridging fundamental stem cell biology with translational medicine. Professor Giulio Pompilio is Scientific Director of the *Monzino Cardiology Institute* and an internationally recognised cardiovascular researcher and clinician. His work focuses on regenerative medicine, cardiovascular biology, cell-based therapies, and translating experimental discoveries into new approaches for treating heart disease. The Milan Longevity Summit brings together global leaders across science, medicine, policy, business, technology and society to rethink the future of health through a *One Health* perspective—recognising that the wellbeing of people, planet and economies is deeply interconnected. *Learn more about the Milan Longevity Summit:* https://www.milanlongevitysummit.org/it/speakers26/giulio-pompilio #MilanLongevitySummit #Longevity #OneHealth #GiulioPompilio #RegenerativeMedicine #StemCells #CardiovascularHealth #HeartHealth #iPSC #Healthspan
