About this video

Creator description · original textText language: English

GLP-1 receptor agonists are emerging as powerful tools in longevity and metabolic health — far beyond weight loss. In this video, I break down what the research actually shows about GLP-1 medications and longevity, including their impact on cardiovascular disease, cancer risk, metabolic health, and all-cause mortality. We’ll connect GLP-1 receptor agonists to multiple hallmarks of aging, including: • dysregulated nutrient sensing • chronic inflammation • insulin resistance and metabolic decline • mitochondrial stress • cardiovascular aging Large population datasets and clinical outcomes studies now suggest meaningful reductions in cardiovascular events — and in some analyses, lower all-cause mortality — among people using GLP-1 therapies for metabolic health. These effects go far beyond body composition and help explain why GLP-1s are increasingly being discussed as longevity-relevant medications. This video is educational and research-focused — not medical advice. My goal is to help you understand why GLP-1s are being studied in the context of aging biology, and how to think about them strategically and long-term.
