What the evidence says
Cellular senescence is one of the mechanisms discussed in the hallmarks of aging framework. Senolytic research asks whether selectively targeting senescent cells can improve specific outcomes.
A 2019 open-label pilot studied dasatinib plus quercetin in people with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. Its small, disease-specific design cannot establish general anti-aging efficacy.
Pilot studies generate questions for controlled research.
Where the evidence stops
This is not evidence to self-administer senolytics or to recommend supplements as senolytic treatment.
