About this video

Creator description · original textText language: English

In this talk, Issac John, Co-founder, Ivory, discusses why cognitive health needs to be treated as a core pillar of preventive healthcare in India, not an afterthought. Drawing on data from urban cognitive assessments, he highlights how early cognitive decline often goes unnoticed despite its deep impact on independence and quality of life. The talk presents findings from two neuroscience-based cognitive evaluations that measured cognitive age and key domains such as attention, memory, reasoning, coordination, and perception, alongside lifestyle, mental health, and medical risk factors. Isaac outlines how psychological stress, chronic health conditions, social isolation, poor cognitive stimulation, and nutritional gaps—especially low omega-3 intake—are strongly linked to poorer cognitive outcomes. A significant proportion of participants showed a cognitive age older than their chronological age, pointing to risks that could be addressed much earlier with timely screening. The talk makes a clear case for integrating routine cognitive assessments into health checkups and combining them with lifestyle-based interventions to protect brain health, delay decline, and improve long-term healthspan. 🔔 Subscribe and stay tuned!
